Dr. Ayesha Musabbah Al Memari

Dr. Ayesha Al Memari is the first Emirati physician to specialize in emergency medicine. She is highly-regarded for undertaking numerous initiatives, including volunteer work in Saudi Arabia, where she provided emergency medical care to Emirati soldiers serving in the Coalition Forces – the first female civilian doctor to do so under the supervision of the Health Authority–Abu Dhabi.

Dr. Al Memari earned a Medical Degree from the Arabian Gulf University in Bahrain in 2002. She practiced for a year at the UAE University. In 2014, Dr. Ayesha received a MSc Quality and Safety in Healthcare from the Irish Royal College of Surgeons in Dubai. In February 2016, Dr. Ayesha received another MSc in Organ Donation and Transplantation Management from the University of Barcelona, Spain.

Dr. Al Memari oversees the expansion and advancement of emergency medical capabilities at Mafraq Hospital, where she is Consultant Emergency Medicine and Critical, EM Programme Director. Dr. Ayesha is also head of the Abu Dhabi branch of the Emirati Medical Association since 2012. Her involvement has contributed to the mobilization of the branch.

Also, Dr. Ayesha is co-founder of the EMA-Mini Medical School, a programme open to the public to help develop their medical knowledge to improve their daily lives; and General Secretary of the Emirates Society of Emergency Medicine, a non-profit organisation that brings together physicians and nurses working in emergency medicine.
