During a six-week period in 2013, people from across the Abu Dhabi Emirate nominated fellow members of society who they felt deserved to be recognised for their selfless contributions to the community.
People of all ages and nationalities are nominated. Regardless of their age, nationality or gender, the recipients are individuals whose good deeds have contributed to supporting and benefiting the Emirate of Abu Dhabi’s communities.
This includes Abu Dhabi citizens, residents and non-residents, as well as Abu Dhabi citizens performing good deeds internationally. Award recipients are selected based on their deeds and actions, not by the number of nominations received.
