In 2025, the Abu Dhabi Awards is marking a major milestone, its 20th anniversary, which coincides with the UAE’s Year of Community.
Declared by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, the Year of Community is a national initiative that aims to foster a united and empowered community. Through its slogan “Hand in Hand”, the initiative calls on everyone who calls the UAE home to contribute to a more connected, compassionate, and collaborative society, promoting a culture of shared responsibility and driving collective progress.
Coinciding with the twentieth year of Abu Dhabi Awards, the Year of Community has added greater impetus to our mission to recognise individuals that have given selflessly to our community and to harness the power of their stories to inspire others to perform good deeds of their own.
As we prepare for the next Abu Dhabi Awards ceremony in late-2025, we are committed to supporting the goals of the Year of Community by creating practical volunteering and community service opportunities for people in the UAE that contribute to community cohesion.
